this is for my little sister she's competing in a regional irish dance competition (oireachtas) and they decorate each others hotel doors for it and i thought i would PWN all the other door decoration mwahaha no but really my mom asked me to do it
so yeah thats her in her solo costume and wig (heck yes we wear wigs)
oh silly irish people i used to dance but it got too much cuz i was trying to do dance, school, and theater at the same time
tooooo much so i quit i do miss dancing but its really funny i quit at the perfect time its like corrupted like people bribe the judges at competitions and pretty much the person with the most expensive dress and fancy wig wins first
Hey which Oireachtas is your sister competing in? I'm going to be in the Southern Region this Weekend.
That's some cool artwork too. I love the facial expression. And I totally agree with you about the dress and wig ordeal. I'm not big on fashion and I'm still wearing a dress I wore three years ago. A nice three panal. XD I've worn it to my first two Oireachti and I'm going to wear it this weekend too.
ZOMG! i had a three panel back when i danced those are the best silly like 8 panel dresses ha ha its sad that those are now the "good old days" i only stopped 2 years ago and so much has changed
my sis competed in the mid west oireachtas so it was like ohio and illinois and stuff

awww. hee hee. Yeah I just had Oireachtas this past weekend. I did the worst I've ever done. >.< But my cirsumstances were really bad this year. I have to learn all my steps in six weeks because my old dance school could travel to where the studio was. But they didn't give us the six month pentaly.
But considering a girl in my class showed up in Orlando FL to do Oireachtas....she didn't dance. She was ready wig and all....then didn't go. So I'm proud that I messed up horribly yet still danced. ^_^
Yeah I'm pretty impressed with the fashion now!! >.< I remember just last yeah how they tried to pass feathers and fur....so glad that didn't catch on. The tutu's was a fascinating era. And the bell shaped dresses too. and I have no idea what is with the soft skirt bubble dresses.....I'm sorry. I'm 17 years old, and I want to know why I'm being subject to this wasked fashion.
Some don't look bad. Some I like. The soft skirts aren't too bad. And I bet they're easy to dance in too.
But what fun is that?
I love my dress. I've had it three years. Three panal. And all sequens!!! Shiniest thing you will ever see. haha. And it's not heavy cause the fabric has the squins already on it. It wasn't like sowed on the fabric seperatly.
So how did your sister do?? I'm interested in the Western sytle of dance. I don't know any one out in that area. I've met Notherner's and dancers in England. But no one from the west. So this is pretty cool for me.
KAWAII!!!!! LOL I Irsih Dance and would have gone had it not been for me hurting my damned ankle O.O
